Holiday Activities & Food Programme
What is HAF?
The Holiday Activities and Food Programme supports children who receive free school meals through holiday periods. The school holidays can be a pressure point for some families and this can lead to a holiday experience gap for children. The HAF programme is a response to the issue.
How does it work?
A number of local authorities and charities run camps throughout the school holiday periods, to ensure children have access to nutritious food and stimulating activities. Parents can find and book these activities on Playwaze.
Who can get involved?
The programmes are for low-income families, children who are eligible for free school meals, those in care and those who have special needs or disabilities.
Playwaze currently works with the HAF organisers in Cornwall, Hertfordshire, Somerset. You can find activities in these areas by clicking the button below.
